While I still have substantial investments in blue-chips, I am less concerned about their performance than the poor outlook for Singapore private properties.

After Wall Street’s deplorable results last Friday, the question for ST Index today is not a matter of battering but how much collateral damage we will be seeing.
An oversold rebound for the Dow Jones is in order here, could be early this week.

In the last bull market, some financial analysts and economists debunked the existence of traditional business cycles.
The basic assumption was that the global economy is spurred by so many positive drivers that a steady, non-inflationary growth path is easily achievable.

At current low interest rates, buyers are not snapping up properties in Singapore.
While some property prices have almost doubled over the past year, increase in salaries did not catch up, meaning Singaporeans are finding it harder to afford private and public housing.
